Market Street Railway Company Stock Certificate
The above 1920's stock certificate for the Market
Street Railway Company in San Francisco was signed and embossed with
the company's corporate seal but never issued. Lewis
M. Clement spent the later years of his distinguished career working
on the design and construction of many of the cable
car and electric railway
lines in San Francisco and Oakland including the famous Market
Street line which is still in existence today.
