Union Pacific Illustrated “Shield” Schedules, c. 1920

These four pages of Union Pacific “shield” schedules are each illustrated with scenes from the UP’s Omaha-Ogden line. Measuring 5x9 inches when open, they appear to have once been a part of a larger bound promotional booklet. Each schedule page contains equipment and general schedule information on one of the UP’s principal trains.  The trains four included here are Train #1, the westbound “Overland Limited”; Train #2, the eastbound “Overland Limited”; Train #4, the Los Angeles-San Francisco-Chicago “Atlantic Express”; and,  Train #101, the Omaha-San Francisco-Los Angeles “Fast Mail.”  Although they are not dated, these schedules appear to be from about 1920. -BCC
